Presidential Contender: Jim Gilmore

This week 2008 candidate profile, is former Republican Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore.

Issues:

Taxes: Supports Bush Tax cuts, touts tax-cutting record as governor, opposes taxation on the Internet

Immigration: opposes amnesty

Iraq: supports surge, opposes timetable

2nd Amendment: opposes gun control

Abortion: Pro-choice

Gay Marriage: opposes marriage and civil-unions

Gilmore has been out of politics since 2002 when he left office. Gilmore has run by far the most lackluster campaign, and one wonders does he really want to win? His views are very conservative, and he is trying to run as one of the five or six "true conservative" candidate. I would not support him in the general, but I won't have to since he has no chance in the primaries.
