AL East:
1.Boston-Too great of lead to give up
2.New York-Will play better in 2nd half, should become competitive in Wild Card race, but too far behind Boston.
3.Toronto-If Yankees don't heat up Toronto has a chance at 2nd, but will not be a factor in the Wild Card Race.
4.Baltimore- Starters will keep them out of last.
5.Tampa Bay-Starters will put them in last.
AL Central:
1.Detroit-Combination of starters and offence make Detroit most talented team in baseball.
2.Minnesota-Not as talented as Cleveland, but much more consistent.
3.Cleveland- If they play to their potential, they will make the playoffs.
4.Chicago-Have a shot at .500 in the best case.
5.Royals-Are in striking distence of 4th at the break.
AL West:
1. LA Angels-I trust them more than Seattle.
2. Seattle- In a shocking 1st half the Mariners are only 3 games behind Boston for the best record in baseball.
3.Oakland- Yet again are in trouble at the break. Angels are too good to be passed, and Oakland has been unable to take advantage of Seattle thus far.
4.Texas-Not as bad as their record, but it is highly unlikely Texas can move up to 3rd.
NL East:
1.New York-The Mets have the best chance of building up a lead, but could easily lose the division.
2.Atlanta-Has a great chance of winning the division, but I can't see them running away with it.
3.Philly-Not as good as New York or Atlanta, but could take the division if they both falter.
4.Florida-Team does not have enough exp. to make up deficit.
5.Washington-May not finnish dead last in MLB!!!
AL Central:
1.Chicago-Brewers are unreliable, and the Cubs can make the division lead disapear rather quickly.
2.Milwaukee-Will probably just miss the playoffs, but the Brewers are well on their way to their first winning season in over a decade.
3.St. Louis-The best of the remaining 4.
4.Houston Astros-Clemens will not bail them out this year.
5.Pittsburgh-Underacheving team may finish as high as 3rd!
6.Reds-If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
NL West:
1.Dodgers: San Diego and Arizona are overacheving.
2.San Diego-Not having an offense will catch up to them.
3.Colorado-Very talented if inconsistent.
4.Arizona-Many of their young players are overated.
5.San Francisco-Old and not that good in general.
Wild Cards:
AL: Yankees
NL: Atlanta
Playoffs Round 1:
LA over Boston in 4
Detroit over NY in 3
LA over Atlanta in 5
NY over Chicago in 3
ALCS: Detroit over LA in 6
NLCS: NY over LA in 4
World Series: Detroit over New Yotk in 6
